Huaxia Chinese School — Fall Semester Has Begun!

Dear parents and students,
Our fall semester officially started on Sunday, August 24th! How is everyone settling in so far? 📚
The class schedule and classroom assignments are ready, and if you’re not sure where your classroom is, don’t worry—we’ve prepared a handy College Center floor map to help you find your way with ease.

🍎 Parent Meeting Recap

On September 6th, we held our fall Parent Meeting. The principal and teachers warmly welcomed everyone, looked back at last year’s wonderful achievements, and expressed gratitude for the continued support of our families.

They also shared the focus for this semester: classes will be more engaging, with group work, project-based learning, and more interactive activities to let children learn through fun and exploration. Teachers also reminded everyone that academics are important, but so are character, arts, and physical education. Parents were encouraged to help children build good habits at home, like completing homework on time and maintaining a healthy routine.

Communication between school and families is also key—through WeChat groups, email, and regular check-ins, parents can always stay up to date on their child’s progress. Safety and health remain a top priority, whether it’s campus safety, transportation, healthy meals, or daily routines. In the Q&A session, parents raised thoughtful questions, and teachers answered them patiently, leaving everyone feeling reassured and excited for the new semester!

🎈 Back-to-School Meet & Greet

On August 17th, before the semester kicked off, we hosted a fun Meet & Greet at Grange Park. Families brought delicious homemade dishes, and of course the highlight was the mouthwatering barbecue 🍖. Parents and children enjoyed food, games, and laughter together, creating a warm and joyful afternoon full of happy memories!

✨ A new semester brings new beginnings—let’s work together to support our children and help them grow happily, healthily, and confidently!
